When jazz guitarist Agnes Persson and dancer Klaudia Rychlik come together in the project Loop in Translation, they create a dynamic space where music and dance intertwine in a flow of improvisation. It is a meeting of art forms, with translation, dialogue, and reinterpretation at its core.
Guitarist and composer Agnes Persson is one of the young musicians reshaping the Swedish jazz scene in recent years. Her debut album, In Collaboration With Flowers (Havtorn Records, 2021), received critical acclaim, making a significant impact on the Swedish jazz landscape. In the fall of 2024, she released her second album, Listen Closely, which she recently concluded a release tour for.
Klaudia A. Rychlik is a contemporary dance artist and choreographer based in Stockholm. With a background in both social anthropology and visual arts, her artistic practice is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. Her work often explores themes such as community, care, and coexistence.
By allowing music and dance to reflect, challenge, and inspire one another, Loop in Translation explores what is lost – and what is gained – in the translation between art forms. It is an invitation for the audience to become part of the conversation, experiencing the unique magic of the moment.
